Käyttöturvallisuustiedote, often abbreviated as KTT, is a Finnish term referring to a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). It is a document that provides comprehensive information about a chemical substance or mixture and its potential hazards. The primary purpose of a KTT is to ensure the safe handling, storage, and use of these substances in the workplace and to protect human health and the environment.

A KTT is a legal requirement in Finland, mandated by the legislation governing chemicals and occupational safety. It is typically provided by the manufacturer or supplier of the chemical to the end-user. The content of a KTT is standardized and follows a specific format, usually comprising 16 sections. These sections cover crucial information such as identification of the substance and company, hazard identification, composition/information on ingredients, first-aid measures, fire-fighting measures, accidental release measures, handling and storage, exposure controls/personal protection, physical and chemical properties, stability and reactivity, toxicological information, ecological information, disposal considerations, transport information, regulatory information, and other relevant information.

The information contained within a KTT is vital for employers to conduct risk assessments, implement appropriate safety measures, train their employees, and respond effectively in case of an incident. Workers who handle chemicals should be familiar with the content of the KTT for the substances they use. It serves as a fundamental tool for chemical safety management.
