járultak

Járultak is a Hungarian verb form. It represents the past tense, third-person plural of the verb járul. The verb járul has several senses, most commonly “to contribute” or “to add to,” and in some contexts also the sense “to accrue to” or “to be due” in older or more formal language. Because of these nuances, járultak can be understood as “they contributed” or, depending on context, “they were added to” or “they accrued.”

For everyday use, speakers typically employ hozzájárultak to express contribution (they contributed) or use phrases such as részt vettek (they participated).
