Jachève is a fictional coastal city in the fantasy world of Ardentia, widely used in novels, games, and fan works. The term also designates its inhabitants, the Jachèves, and occasionally a set of harbor-related customs.

The name is said to derive from the Valmeran words ja- meaning sea and cheve meaning refuge, and first appears in Ardentian manuscripts around the 11th century as a proper place name. In-universe, Jachève lies on a crescent bay along the eastern coast of the Sea of Dawn, with terraces of white limestone and a deep-water harbor.

Founded as a trading post circa 980, Jachève grew into a maritime city-state, sustaining its wealth through shipbuilding, ropeworks, and spice trade. It experienced several periods of political flux, including a long alliance with the Dukes of Valmere and a brief period of republican governance in the late medieval era. A major earthquake in the 14th century reshaped parts of the harbor, after which the city rebuilt its quay walls and markets.

The city is known for the Grand Pier, the Archivum, and the Lighthouse known as the Eye of Jachève. The Lantern Festival, held at the harbor, celebrates seafaring life and mutual aid among guilds.

In media and fandom, Jachève appears in The Chronicles of Ardentia and related games, serving as a political and cultural hub in plotlines involving trade, diplomacy, and maritime law.
