Jabisessa is a genus of fungi in the family Sclerodermataceae. It is characterized by its subterranean fruiting bodies, which are typically globose or irregular in shape. The exoperidium, or outer skin, is often thick and leathery, and may be smooth or ornamented with warts or spines. The gleba, or spore-bearing tissue, is initially firm and compact, but typically becomes powdery at maturity, releasing its spores.
