Ingliskaelne is a constructed language designed as a case study of language contact and hybridization. It blends English-derived lexicon with features from a fictitious substrate language and is used in fiction, conlang communities, and linguistic demonstrations.

The name Ingliskaelne combines an English-related root with a suffix used in the language’s own family of conlangs. It is described as analytic, with dominant SVO word order, a moderate use of affixes as particles, and little inflection.

The phoneme inventory mirrors common English sounds, supplemented by a few phonemes from the substrate. The language uses a phonemic Latin orthography with optional diacritics. Stress is typically on the penultimate syllable; no tone.

Noun phrases are simple; articles, demonstratives, and numerals precede nouns. Verbs are not conjugated for person or number; tense and aspect are conveyed by separate particles placed before the verb. Pronouns mark inclusive/exclusive 'we' and direct/object forms. Negation uses the particle 'na' before the verb.
