inertialmålesystem
An inertial measurement unit, or IMU, is a device that measures and reports a body's specific force, angular rate, and sometimes magnetic field, using a combination of accelerometers and gyroscopes. Some IMUs also incorporate magnetometers. Accelerometers measure linear acceleration, which is the rate of change of velocity. Gyroscopes measure angular velocity, which is the rate of rotation. Magnetometers measure the strength and direction of magnetic fields, which can be used for orientation reference.
By processing the data from these sensors, an IMU can calculate the body's orientation, velocity, and position.
IMUs are widely used in various applications. In aviation, they are crucial for flight control and navigation
