inertialatsioon
Inertialatsioon is a term sometimes used in physics and engineering to describe the process or consequence of inertia. Inertia itself is the fundamental property of matter that resists changes in its state of motion. An object at rest will remain at rest, and an object in motion will continue in motion with the same velocity (speed and direction) unless acted upon by an external force. Inertialatsioon, therefore, can refer to the phenomenon where an object's inertia causes it to maintain its current state of motion, or the difficulty in overcoming this resistance to change.
This concept is directly related to Newton's first law of motion, often called the law of inertia.
