Ikon is typically a term used to refer to an icon—a symbol or image that represents a concept, object, or program. In computing and user interfaces, icons are small graphical representations that help users identify and access programs, files, or actions. The spelling ikon appears in some languages and contexts, and in religious art the word ikon (or ikoná) is used for sacred images revered in certain Christian traditions. The etymology traces to the Greek eikon, meaning image or likeness, from which the English word icon ultimately derives.

iKON is a South Korean boy band formed in 2015 by YG Entertainment, following the reality show Mix & Match. The original lineup consisted of seven members: B.I, Bobby, Jinhwan (Jay), Yunhyeong, Donghyuk (DK), Ju-ne, and Chanwoo. In 2019, leader B.I departed from the group, and iKON has continued as a six-member act. The group made its official debut with the EP Welcome Back in 2015, featuring the lead single My Type. They have released multiple albums and EPs, achieving widespread popularity in Korea and internationally. Their 2018 single Love Scenario was a major hit and contributed to their mainstream recognition. iKON is known for blending hip hop and pop influences, strong vocal performances, and energetic live shows, and it remains one of YG Entertainment’s prominent male acts.
