iTSCi

The iTSCi program, or the International Tin Supply Chain Initiative, is a due diligence initiative focused on responsible sourcing within the tin supply chain. It aims to prevent the financing of armed groups and to promote responsible practices in mining and trading of tin, tantalum, and tungsten, often referred to as the 3TG minerals. The program was established by the International Tin Association (ITA) and is supported by industry stakeholders, including smelters and downstream users.

iTSCi operates through a system of standardized due diligence, which involves identifying and assessing risks in the supply chain. Participating companies commit to implementing these due diligence procedures to ensure their tin is sourced from legitimate and responsible operations. The program emphasizes transparency and traceability, aiming to provide assurance to customers about the origin and responsible nature of the tin they purchase.
