Hálózatelemekként refers to network elements or network components in Hungarian. In essence, any piece of hardware or software that facilitates the functioning of a network can be considered a hálózatelem.

Common examples of hálózatelemek include routers, switches, hubs, network interface cards (NICs), modems, firewalls, and access points. Routers are crucial for directing data traffic between different networks, while switches and hubs connect devices within a local area network (LAN). Network interface cards are installed in computers and other devices to allow them to connect to the network. Modems convert digital signals from computers into analog signals suitable for transmission over telephone lines or cable, and vice versa. Firewalls act as security barriers, controlling incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules. Access points enable wireless devices to connect to a wired network.
