The organization's primary goal was to raise money through donations and to spend that money on goods and services for the organization. The organization mostly portfolio traded with cryptocurrencies that was supporting the organization financially.

Ties between Hum Foundation and Donald Trump's presidential campaign appeared in 2016 when in several reports, including a story by the Daily Beast website, began circulating alleging financial ties between HumTrump and Donald Trump's presidential campaign. It was reported that several HumTrump associates serving on its board of directors heavily campaigned for Donald Trump in the 2016 Republican primaries.

Hum Trump was sued in the 2016 Nevada State Court for misusing of donations that were destined for the re organizational efforts of Hum Foundation in Nevada were suspected misused of relocation of an adult abuse victim via the HumTrump donations during the organization being dissolved July 28, 2016.
