hullámhegy
A hullámhegy, which translates from Hungarian to English as "wave crest" or "peak of the wave," is a term used in various contexts, most commonly in wave phenomena and statistics. In physics, specifically when describing waves such as those on water, sound waves, or electromagnetic waves, the hullámhegy refers to the point of maximum displacement or amplitude in the wave. It is the highest point that the wave reaches above its equilibrium or undisturbed level. Conversely, the lowest point of the wave is known as the hullámvölgy or trough. The distance between two consecutive hullámhegyek or hullámvölgyek is the wavelength.
In statistics and data analysis, the term hullámhegy can refer to a peak or a local maximum
