Hispanohablantes is a term used to describe people who use Spanish as their primary language or as a language of regular daily communication within their social and professional lives. The designation is linguistic rather than national, and it encompasses native speakers, bilinguals, and other individuals who maintain Spanish as a dominant language in daily use.

Geographically, hispanohablantes are concentrated in Spain and across Latin America, including Mexico, Central and South American countries, and several Caribbean nations. Large Spanish-speaking communities also exist in the United States and in parts of Africa and Asia due to historical ties and migration. Estimates of the population vary, but there are roughly 480–490 million native speakers and about 580–600 million total speakers when counting those who use Spanish as a second or foreign language.

Linguistically, Spanish is a pluricentric Romance language with numerous regional varieties. Standard forms are used in education, media, and official communication, but pronunciation, vocabulary, and some grammatical features differ across regions. While mutual intelligibility is high among the major dialects, these differences contribute to a spectrum of dialects and registers within the Spanish-speaking world.

Culturally and socially, the community of hispanohablantes spans diverse identities and traditions. Spanish-language literature, media, education policies, and diaspora networks influence language maintenance, bilingualism, and regional as well as international交流.
