Harmonisiertes is a German adjective derived from harmonisieren (to harmonize). It describes something that has been brought into harmony or standardization across different elements, jurisdictions, or systems. The term is used in law, administration, economics, and standardization to indicate alignment with a common rule, definition, or method.

In legal and policy contexts, harmonisierung aims to reduce divergences between national laws or regulations to facilitate cooperation and the functioning of the internal market. In international trade, references to a harmonisiertes System or harmonisierte Klassifikation denote standardized frameworks that enable cross-border classification, measurement, and taxation. The best-known example is the Harmonized System (HS) for goods classification maintained by the World Customs Organization.

In product standards and data collection, harmonization involves common standards, testing procedures, and measurement units so that products and statistical data can be compared reliably across borders. This often requires agreements among governments, standardization bodies, and industry stakeholders.
