harmônicos
Harmônicos, also known as harmonics, are integer multiples of a fundamental frequency. When a musical instrument or voice produces a sound, it does not typically generate a pure sine wave. Instead, it creates a complex sound composed of the fundamental frequency and a series of higher frequencies called overtones. These overtones are the harmonics. The relationship between the fundamental frequency and the harmonics is crucial in defining the timbre, or tonal quality, of a sound. For instance, the first harmonic is the fundamental frequency itself. The second harmonic is twice the fundamental frequency, the third harmonic is three times the fundamental frequency, and so on. The relative intensity or amplitude of these harmonics determines how we perceive the sound of different instruments.
In physics and engineering, harmonics are also observed in electrical systems. Alternating current (AC) power systems
