halsvenern

Halsvenern is a Swedish wind farm located in Nordström in Bohuslän. The wind farm has a total installed capacity of 47.5 MW, spread across 17 wind turbines.

The turbines at Halsvenern are of the Vestas type and have a hub height of approximately 36 meters. The rotor diameter is around 76 meters, and the maximum power output per turbine is approximately 2.8 MW. The wind farm generates enough electricity to supply the energy needs of around 30,000 households.

The construction of Halsvenern began in 2005 and was completed in 2008. The project was developed by the Swedish energy company Vattenfall, and a major part of the funding for the project came from the Swedish government.

Halsvenern is connected to the power grid through a 12 km long transmission line. The wind farm's power supply is primarily used for local consumption, but any excess energy generated is fed back into the grid. The wind farm is also integrated with other renewable energy sources in the area, such as hydropower plants, to create a more diverse and stable energy mix.
