Gyomorarteriákat refers to the arteries that supply blood to the stomach. These vessels are crucial for the stomach's function, providing oxygen and nutrients necessary for digestion and maintaining its tissues. The primary arterial supply to the stomach originates from branches of the celiac trunk, a major artery arising from the abdominal aorta. The celiac trunk itself is a short, wide artery that quickly bifurcates.

The most significant arteries supplying the stomach are the left gastric artery, the common hepatic artery, and the splenic artery. The left gastric artery ascends along the lesser curvature of the stomach and supplies the upper part of the stomach and the esophagus. The common hepatic artery branches further to supply the liver and duodenum, but also gives rise to the right gastric artery, which runs along the greater curvature of the stomach, and the gastroepiploic artery. The splenic artery, the largest of the three, travels to the spleen but also contributes to the stomach's blood supply through its branches, notably the left gastroepiploic artery, which anastomoses with the right gastroepiploic artery along the greater curvature. This rich arterial network ensures that the stomach receives an adequate blood flow, even during periods of high digestive activity. The venous drainage generally mirrors the arterial supply, with veins collecting blood and returning it to the portal venous system.
