Glorificatie, also written glorificare in Romanian, refers to the act of praising, honoring, or elevating someone or something to a higher status or degree of esteem. It can involve language, ritual, art, or institutional practices designed to provoke admiration or worship. The term derives from Latin glorificare (to cause to be glorious), via the common Romance forms.

In religious contexts, glorificatie is about attributing divine greatness to a deity or to sacred persons, events, or objects. Theological usage distinguishes between praising God in worship and the eschatological belief in the final, complete glorification of believers after death or resurrection.

In political and social discourse, glorificatie can describe the idealization of leaders, national heroes, or historical figures, as seen in state propaganda, monuments, educational narratives, or media portrayals.
