Manifestations: include online dating apps connecting people globally, international travel and sex tourism, transnational pornography markets, migration-related sexual labor, and transnational activism around sexual rights and consent. Also concerns about cultural homogenization and retention of local sexual norms.

Implications: include access to information and diversity; risks such as exploitation, commodification, privacy concerns, and legal ambiguity in cross-border contexts.
