Gasformed is an adjective used to describe processes, materials, or conditions in which gas is produced. The term is not commonly used as a standalone word in standard reference works; more often “gas-formed” or “gas-forming” is encountered. In general, it refers to any situation where gas is generated as part of a reaction or metabolism.
