Interventions may include early-warning systems, tutoring, inclusive policy design, capacity building, infrastructural investments, and process improvements such as standardization and redundancy reduction.

Outcomes are tracked with metrics such as the size of the gap, gap closure rate, effect size, or time to close. Risks include misinterpreting gaps, focusing on short-term gains, or creating new disparities if interventions are not well targeted. Ethical and sustainability considerations are central.
