Fényképészeti, also known as photography, is the art, application, and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film. The result is either a negative or positive photograph, or a digital image. Photography is employed in many fields, including science, industry, medicine, journalism, and art.

The history of photography dates back to the early 19th century, with the invention of the daguerreotype by Louis Daguerre in 1839. Since then, photography has evolved significantly, from the use of film to digital sensors, and from simple point-and-shoot cameras to complex, high-end professional equipment. Today, photography is a widely practiced hobby and profession, with numerous genres and techniques, including portrait, landscape, wildlife, and astrophotography.

Photography involves several key principles, such as exposure, focus, and composition. Exposure refers to the amount of light that reaches the camera's sensor or film, while focus determines the clarity of the image. Composition involves arranging the elements of the photograph to create a visually appealing image. Additionally, photography techniques may include using different lenses, filters, and lighting setups to achieve desired effects.

In recent years, photography has also expanded into digital and virtual realms, with the rise of digital photography and virtual reality (VR) photography. Digital photography involves capturing images using digital cameras or smartphones, while VR photography creates immersive, 360-degree images or videos. These advancements have further expanded the possibilities and applications of photography in various fields.
