Formuljumus refers to a traditional Finnish method of calculating the number of days between two dates, particularly used in agricultural and seasonal planning. The term combines "formula" and "jumus," where "jumus" is an archaic Finnish word meaning "measure" or "calculation." The formuljumus technique is based on the assumption that a year consists of 360 days, divided into 12 months of 30 days each. To calculate the difference between two dates, one subtracts the starting date from the ending date, adjusting for the month and year boundaries.
