Flotatization is a term used to describe the process of becoming buoyant or floating. This can refer to a wide range of phenomena, from the simple act of an object resting on the surface of a liquid to more complex biological or geological processes. In physics, flotatization is governed by Archimedes' principle, which states that a body immersed in a fluid experiences an upward buoyant force equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the body. If this buoyant force is greater than the object's weight, the object will float.

In everyday life, we observe flotatization when a ship made of heavy metal floats on water. This is possible because the ship's design displaces a large volume of water, creating a buoyant force that counteracts the ship's weight. Similarly, a helium balloon flotatizes in the air because helium is less dense than the surrounding air, causing the air to exert an upward buoyant force on the balloon.

Biological organisms also exhibit flotatization. Many aquatic plants have air bladders or specialized tissues that allow them to float, aiding in photosynthesis and dispersal. Some marine animals, like jellyfish, are largely composed of water, making them naturally buoyant. In a more metaphorical sense, flotatization can also refer to a person or entity becoming financially stable or prosperous, as if they are "floating" above financial troubles.
