The resulting form literally means “they are figures” and is used to classify or identify a set of items as figures in a formal, encyclopedic, or literary context.

Morphology and syntax are typical of Turkish agglutinative grammar. The base noun figür receives the plural suffix -ler to become figürler, and then the copula -idir attaches to produce figürleridir.
