Fagocitákban refers to the presence or activity within phagocytes. Phagocytes are a type of white blood cell that engulfs and digests cellular debris, foreign substances, microbes, cancer cells, and anything else that does not have the type of proteins specific to healthy body cells on its surface. For example, observing bacteria or other pathogens inside phagocytes under a microscope is a common diagnostic sign of infection.
