In common descriptions, the method relies on two coupled mechanisms: enhanced evaporation at a high-surface-area interface, and rapid desorption of surface-bound molecules driven by an external energy source.

Etymology and scope: The word is a composite of a root related to evaporation and a fictional suffix implying speed. As such, evaporahastuv does not denote a single, universally accepted mechanism, but rather a family of ideas shared across various theoretical and exploratory sources.

Principle: The liquid is proposed to be confined within nanostructured channels or porous films to amplify surface area and create steep temperature or chemical potential gradients. An energy field such as ultrasound, radiofrequency, or microwaves is applied to increase molecular energy and overcome liquid–vapor equilibrium, promoting fast mass transfer. The surrounding gas removal must maintain a low partial pressure, enabling vapor to escape rapidly.

Applications and status: The concept is discussed in the context of rapid drying of delicate materials, compact solvent recovery, and microfluidic sample processing. As of now, evaporahastuv remains largely theoretical or at early-stage experimental work, with limited reproducible demonstrations and little consensus on practical implementation.

Challenges and considerations: Key concerns include controlling aerosols and hotspots, ensuring material compatibility, achieving energy efficiency, and assessing scalability. The concept continues to appear mainly in speculative discussions rather than established engineering practice.
