Energiochs are a proposed class of energy-carrying quasi-particles described in speculative models of quantum thermodynamics and nanoscale energy transport. In these frameworks, energy is not merely carried by phonons or electrons but by coherent, localized packets that maintain their shape as they traverse engineered materials. The packets are said to propagate with reduced dispersion, behaving like soliton-like excitations in certain nonlinear lattices.

The fundamental unit associated with an enerioch is the energion, a quantized amount of energy with an effective mass and internal degrees of freedom. Theoretical descriptions treat energiochs as bosonic bound states of multiple quanta that can couple weakly to the lattice while sustaining their integrity over several micrometers.

Status and evaluation: Energiochs remain theoretical and controversial. Some experiments in metamaterials and nanostructured thermal channels report signatures compatible with non-dissipative energy packets, but unequivocal observation has not been achieved.
