energiaperusteita
Energiaperusteita refers to the fundamental principles and concepts underlying the study and application of energy. It encompasses the understanding of what energy is, how it is transferred and transformed, and the laws that govern these processes. At its core, energiaperusteita is built upon the first and second laws of thermodynamics. The first law, the law of conservation of energy, states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only converted from one form to another. This means the total amount of energy in an isolated system remains constant. Examples include the conversion of chemical energy in fuel to thermal and kinetic energy in an engine, or the transformation of solar energy into electrical energy in photovoltaic cells.
The second law of thermodynamics introduces the concept of entropy and the directionality of energy transfer.
