Endokriinisia refers to the endocrine system, a network of glands that produce and secrete hormones. These hormones act as chemical messengers, traveling through the bloodstream to target cells and organs, regulating a wide range of bodily functions. The endocrine system plays a crucial role in processes such as growth and development, metabolism, reproduction, mood, and maintaining homeostasis.

Key endocrine glands include the pituitary gland, thyroid gland, adrenal glands, pancreas, ovaries, and testes.
