Endodermból is not a standard term in English. It appears to be a nonstandard form combining the word endoderm with a suffix from some languages meaning “from the endoderm.” In English, the conventional terms are endoderm and endodermal.

The endoderm is the innermost of the three primary germ layers formed during gastrulation in vertebrate embryos. It arises when cells migrate from the surface of the embryo to form a lining that will give rise to internal epithelia. As development proceeds, endodermal cells differentiate into tissues and organs associated with internal linings and glands.

Major derivatives of the endoderm include the epithelial lining of the digestive and respiratory tracts from the foregut to the hindgut. It also forms secretory and absorptive organs such as the liver, pancreas, and biliary system. The endoderm contributes to the lining of much of the urinary bladder and proximal portions of the urethra. Glandular and endocrine structures with endodermal origins include the thyroid and parathyroid glands, as well as the thymus epithelium and related pharyngeal pouch derivatives.

Clinical relevance centers on endodermal development and its disorders. Abnormal endoderm formation can lead to congenital malformations such as tracheoesophageal fistula or other gut and airway anomalies. In oncology, tumors arising from endodermal lineages, including certain germ cell and yolk sac–type tumors, are classified by their endodermal differentiation.
