Electrophotografisch is a term related to the process of electrophotography, which is a method of printing or copying documents. It involves the use of static electricity and a photosensitive material, typically a drum coated with a semiconductor. The process begins with charging the drum. Then, a light source, often a laser or an LED array, projects an image onto the drum. Where light strikes the drum, the electrical charge dissipates. This creates an electrostatic image on the drum's surface. Next, a toner, which is a fine powder composed of pigment and plastic particles, is attracted to the charged areas of the drum. The toner is then transferred from the drum to a piece of paper. Finally, the paper is heated in a fuser, which melts the toner particles and permanently bonds them to the paper, creating the final image or text.
