Działanie is a Polish noun meaning action, operation, or functioning. It is derived from the verb działać (to act) and the -anie suffix that forms noun derivatives. The term is widely used across everyday language and technical discourse to denote the way something acts, the process by which a device works, or the effect produced by a system.

In mathematics and logic, działanie refers to a mathematical operation that combines elements to yield another element.
