Dymy is a term that can refer to different things, depending on context. In Polish, dymy is the nominative plural form of the noun dym, meaning smoke or fumes.

In everyday Polish, dymy denotes multiple sources of smoke, such as from fires, chimneys, or industrial exhaust. The word is used both literally and metaphorically, for example to describe hazy air or atmospheric pollution. Etymologically, it derives from the Proto-Slavic word *dymь and is cognate with similar words in other Slavic languages, such as Russian дым (dym) and Ukrainian дим (dym).
