Drog is a term that appears in several languages with different meanings, and it does not have a single, universal definition. In Scandinavian languages, drog is a common grammatical form.

In Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish, drog is the simple past tense of the verb meaning “to draw, pull, or drag.” For example, Danish: Han drog kisten ned fra taget (He pulled the chest down from the roof). Norwegian: Hun drog seg tilbake (She drew back). Swedish: Han drog iväg mot bilen (He drew away toward the car). The exact sense—pulling, drawing, or moving—depends on the accompanying verb and prepositions.

Outside of the Scandinavian family, drog is not a standard English word. It may appear as a misspelling of "drug," or as part of proper nouns, historical spellings, or acronymic usage in specific contexts. As a standalone term in English, it has no widely accepted definition.

As an uppercase acronym, DROG can appear in organizational names, fictional settings, or technical shorthand, but there is no single widely recognized meaning across fields.
