dissolverse is a fictional transmedia universe that centers on the idea that reality and identity can dissolve and reform across multiple levels of reality. It began as an online collaborative project in the early 2020s and has since expanded into short fiction, interactive experiences, and a series of short films. The core motif is dissolution events, moments when stable states of matter, memory, and social structures dissolve into a shared substratum called the dissolve, enabling cross-reality recombination of narratives.
