Deszublimálás is a term used in chemistry to describe the direct transition of a substance from the gaseous state to the solid state, without passing through the liquid state. This process is the reverse of sublimation, where a solid transitions directly to a gas. Deszublimálás is an exothermic process, meaning it releases heat.

Common examples of deszublimálás include the formation of frost on cold surfaces. Water vapor in the atmosphere comes into contact with a surface that is below the freezing point of water. Instead of condensing into liquid water and then freezing, the water vapor directly transforms into ice crystals. Another example is the deposition of iodine vapor onto a cold surface. When iodine is heated, it sublimes into a purple gas. Upon cooling, this gas can deszúblimate directly into solid iodine crystals, often appearing as a fine, dark powder. Similarly, the formation of snowflakes from water vapor in the atmosphere is a form of deszublimálás.

The conditions under which deszublimálás occurs are typically when the partial pressure of the substance in the gaseous state is above its triple point pressure and the temperature is below its triple point temperature. This phase transition is important in various industrial processes, such as the purification of certain substances through sublimation and deszublimálás cycles, and in natural phenomena like frost formation and snow deposition.
