dengesine
Dengesine is a Turkish grammatical form built from the noun denge (balance, equilibrium) plus the third-person singular possessive suffix -si (its) and the dative case suffix -e (to). The resulting phrase literally means “to its balance” and is used to mark the indirect object or the target of an action, referring to the balance or stability of the thing possessed by the subject. It can describe physical balance as well as more abstract forms of balance depending on context.
Morphology and usage: The form is created by combining denge with the possessive suffix -si to form
- Deprem, binanın dengesine zarar verdi. (The earthquake damaged the building’s balance.)
- Bu tür sarsıntılar, makinenin dengesine zarar verebilir. (Such tremors can disrupt the machine’s balance.)
Notes: Dengesine is not a standalone noun but a postpositional phrase formed through standard Turkish possessive
