Dacumulació, also written d'acumulació, is a Catalan term that designates the process by which quantities increase over time due to inputs, deposits, or growth. It describes the buildup of material, wealth, information, or effects within a system.

The concept is used across disciplines to indicate how something accumulates. In economics, it refers to capital accumulation and wealth concentration; in environmental science, to the accumulation of pollutants or nutrients; in geology, to sediment or mineral deposition; and in biology, to processes such as bioaccumulation. In information systems, accumulation can describe growing datasets or the gradual buildup of errors or biases.

Etymology and usage: the term derives from the verb acumular, itself from Latin accumulare. In Catalan orthography, the apostrophe d’ prefixes the word when followed by a vowel, giving d’acumulació; the form shown as dacumulació appears in some texts without the apostrophe.
