A décimale refers to a number expressed in the decimal numeral system, also known as the base-10 system. This system uses ten digits: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. In the decimal system, the position of a digit determines its value. Each position represents a power of 10. For instance, in the number 123.45, the '1' is in the hundreds place (10^2), the '2' is in the tens place (10^1), the '3' is in the ones place (10^0), the '4' is in the tenths place (10^-1), and the '5' is in the hundredths place (10^-2).
