Cyclusgasturbines, also known as combined cycle gas turbines (CCGT), represent a highly efficient method of electricity generation. They combine two thermodynamic cycles to maximize the conversion of fuel energy into electrical power. The process begins with a gas turbine, similar to those used in aircraft engines, which burns natural gas or other fuels to produce hot, high-pressure exhaust gases. These gases then pass through a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), where their residual heat is used to produce steam. This steam then drives a separate steam turbine, which in turn powers another generator.
