cselekvései

Cselekvései is a Hungarian grammatical form meaning “the actions of someone” or “his/her actions.” It is not a standalone lexeme but an inflected form derived from the noun cselekvés (action or deed).

Morphology: The base noun cselekvés forms the plural cselekvések (actions). A third-person singular possessive suffix -ei is added to the plural to yield cselekvései, i.e., “his/her actions.” This construction follows the general pattern in Hungarian of combining plural nouns with a possessive suffix to express ownership by a third-person subject, with adjustments for vowel harmony.

Usage: Cselekvései is used to refer to actions belonging to a person or entity already identified or implied in the discourse. Examples include: “A miniszter cselekvései szerint a kormány álláspontja változatlan,” meaning “According to the minister’s actions, the government’s position remains unchanged,” and “Az író cselekvései alapján a történet etikus dilemmákat tár fel,” meaning “Based on the writer’s actions, the story reveals ethical dilemmas.”
