Creditposten is a term used in accounting to describe a credit entry posted to a ledger account. In double-entry bookkeeping, every transaction has at least one debit and one credit, and the total debits equal total credits. A creditpost increases the balance of accounts where credits are normal (liabilities, equity, and revenue) and decreases the balance of accounts where credits are normal (assets and expenses). In other words, posting a credit to a liability or equity account increases that liability or equity, posting a credit to a revenue account increases revenue, and posting a credit to an asset or expense account reduces that asset or expense.
