Constituionale is a term used in several Romance-language contexts to denote relation to a constitution. The English equivalent is constitutional. The exact form and gender of the cognate adjective vary by language; for example, costitutuzionale (Italian), constitutionnel/constitutionnelle (French), and constitucional (Spanish/Portuguese). The concept refers to rights, institutions, and procedures defined or constrained by a constitution.

In law and political science, constitutive matters include constitutional rights and liberties, the distribution of powers among legislative, executive, and judicial branches, and the status of governmental bodies created by the constitution.
