Centrifugálókészülék is the Hungarian term for a centrifuge, a mechanical device that utilizes centrifugal force to separate components of a mixture based on their density. It works by spinning samples at high speeds, causing denser particles to settle at the bottom of a container while less dense components remain suspended or float. This principle is widely applied in various scientific and industrial fields.

In laboratories, centrifuges are essential for separating blood into its plasma and cellular components, isolating DNA from cells, and purifying various biological samples. They are also used in chemical analysis to determine the purity of substances or to separate precipitates from solutions.
