Cementgyárak, or cement plants, are industrial facilities dedicated to the production of cement. Cement is a binder substance used in construction that sets, hardens, and adheres to other materials to bind them together. The manufacturing process typically involves several key stages. First, raw materials such as limestone, clay, and sand are quarried and crushed. These materials are then ground into a fine powder, known as raw meal. This raw meal is heated to extremely high temperatures, around 1450 degrees Celsius, in a large rotating kiln. This process, called clinkering, causes chemical and physical changes, forming small nodules called clinker.
