Casuarineiden is a term that refers to the family Casuarinaceae. This plant family is native to Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands. The most distinctive characteristic of casuarineiden plants is their resemblance to pine trees, often leading to them being called "she-oaks" or "ironwoods" in Australia. However, they are not true conifers. Instead, they are flowering plants that belong to the order Fagales.
