bunaN
BunaN is a synthetic rubber, also known as acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber. It is a copolymer produced by the polymerization of acrylonitrile and butadiene monomers. The ratio of these monomers can be varied to produce BunaN with a wide range of properties. Higher acrylonitrile content generally leads to increased resistance to oil, fuels, and many chemicals, as well as improved tensile strength and abrasion resistance. However, it can also reduce flexibility at low temperatures. Conversely, lower acrylonitrile content enhances low-temperature flexibility but diminishes oil and fuel resistance.
BunaN is characterized by its excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils, greases, and fuels, which makes it
The primary applications for BunaN include seals, gaskets, hoses, O-rings, and diaphragms used in the automotive,
