A bullseye is the central target area used in aiming sports and games, especially archery, darts, and shooting. It is the smallest inner circle on a target and typically carries the highest score in many scoring schemes.

In archery, the bullseye is the innermost ring on a standard target and is worth the maximum 10 points on a 1–10 scale; X-rings are sometimes used for tiebreakers. In darts, the bullseye refers to two concentric scoring areas: the outer bull (25 points) and the inner bull (50 points).

Etymology: The term bullseye derives from the bull's-eye—the eye of a bull—reflecting the notion of hitting the precise center. The one-word form bullseye is a later, popularized spelling; both forms are in common use.
