brachialiseen
Brachialiseen is a term sometimes used colloquially to refer to the brachial artery. The brachial artery is a major blood vessel in the upper arm. It originates from the axillary artery at the lower border of the teres major muscle and runs down the medial side of the humerus, typically within the spiral groove. As it descends, it passes through the cubital fossa, the depression in front of the elbow. Here, it divides into its two terminal branches: the radial artery and the ulnar artery. The brachial artery is responsible for supplying oxygenated blood to the muscles and tissues of the upper arm and forearm. It is also the artery that is commonly palpated or auscultated to measure blood pressure, and it is where blood is typically drawn for arterial blood gas analysis. In surgical procedures involving the upper limb, the brachial artery is an important landmark. Its superficial location in parts of its course makes it susceptible to injury.
